November 2015

November 26, 2015

I am blessed, blessed, blessed. I am thankful, thankful, thankful. I have a long list derived from the very center of my heart with all of what I am thankful for but instead of sharing my long list I want to share with you a few select things. I am thankful for my siblings (Molly, Adrian, Matthew, Luke), my parents, my animals, my car (OLD BLUE), my best friends, my classmates, my home, my snug bed,, my church, and my relationship with GOD.

We had a grand, delicious feast, a Harry Potter Marathon, and I gained at least 20 pounds from the mashed tatters. I’m wide awake right now, currently plotting my plans for tomorrow’s Black Friday with my sisters. We are contemplating rising at 4am to shop but of course stopping for coffee before. Tomorrow I am excited to be going to the ARKANSAS GAME AGAINST MIZZOU! I’m really estatic to be working it with my church & having the opportunity to score a seat once we are done!

I am listing a few select stores below I recommend hitting up tomorrow for Black Friday but remember be careful and have fun! Please share your stories with me in the comments.

WALMART (Tablets, Fitbit)

I am quite excited to share my outfit today & why I selected it! It was simply because I felt the tones matched the colors of thanksgiving & I love the booties! + I felt like it resembled vintage housewife look! It’s awesome because the skirt came from GOODWILL so I can easily encourage you to go in search for your own bargain look!

Skirt: Goodwill

Booties: Dillard’s

Hair Style: I choose this simply to dress up my look, (I feel up do’s do this!) & bring back some of my childhood. DUTCH BRAIDS ROXX.

80’s polo

November 24, 2015

Today I rocked it out in my Momma’s 80’s oversized polo. I had lots to do…so it was a nice treat to be comfy. We took a road trip to Springfield, MO & spent some time in Joplin. I got together with my best friend from pre-k & we shared some laughs over chick-fil-a! It was a great day, blessed in the Lord.

Since this look is not really current I’m recommending you checking out your local goodwill or your parents closest a for an outdated shirt. (Which you turn and make totally your own)

that is all for now

look for tomorrow’s thanksgiving feast picks from my trip to the store!

love always,

Alexa Dudley

Candid November Day

November 24, 2015

Today was filled with eggs, bacon, coffee, varsity cheerleading, mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, & fried squirrel (that’s right we caught it, I mean shot it, with my grandpa callen early this morning!) We enjoyed a luxury day outside in the beautiful weather then took a trip to Springdale to see my cousin Sharon Loydd who is running for Senetor of Springdale, AR district. 🙂 YAY! Go SHARON. I cheered my first last home basketball game of the season against Gravette, AR @ home. We won! McDonald County Mustang basketball is going to be grand this season! I’m sad because I’m a senior but can’t wait until homecoming & ready to kick butt. Tomorrow I plan to edit pictures for my business (Studio 64843) & hopefully have a fun filled day!

In today’s pictures you can see my besties Carlie & Payton in our cheer uniforms. You’ll catch my grandfather Callen, my great grandmother Virgina (his mom) who was born today! I miss her greatly. I also included a super serious selfie & some other candids of the day.

Stars Over Seneca

November 22, 2015

Show Choir Central

So I’m sorry I haven’t updated 1998Miss.Com in a few days but I have been very busy! All college applications are due in the next week so I’m highly under stress.

I had my first Show Choir competition yesterday in Seneca, MO & I had a solo! It was a bittersweet day because it was my first competition without our dear beloved Rachael Staib.

I had an adorable outfit today for church but I didn’t have an opportunity to get any blog shots!

On Friday I went to a basketball Jamboree in Joplin, MO where we dominated & on Monday I’m looking forward to cheering my first last home game of the basketball season. 🙁 Oh & I’m so delighted I am celebrating Thanksgiving with an entire week off from school! I have been bombarded with AP homework from school because of course I’m on break but I’m surviving just fine with binge watching F R I E N D S on Netflix.

Expect an adorable outfit tomorrow & expect my holly jolly spirit of Thanksgiving. 🙂

I want to leave you with this verse for the week!

Psalm 69:30 I will praise the name of God with song, And shall magnify Him with thanksgiving.

Always XOXO,

Alexa Dudley

P.S. I’m looking forward to a big surprise to share with the blogosphere. 🙂 Also, the pictures on today’s post include EVERYTHING UNDER THE MOON FROM THIS WEEKEND.

National Honor Society Inductions

November 16, 2015

NHS Inductions

I love this look because it’s so chic yet so neutral. The sparkles add spice but the brown & black keep it classic. The perfect look for NHS inductions since we must dress nice. I had much to do tonight as the President of NHS & I would like to thank my fellow members for electing me. I love NHS & especially what it stands for. Our four pillars! I look forward to Spring inductions but am sad to be saying Goodbye in May to this organization @ MCHS. It is my wish to make our Winter Formal / Yule Ball a new traddition & this NHS year to be the best….oh wait it’s already almost over! Don’t Blink!

Dress: Kohls / SO LAST YEAR SALE

Booties: Dillard’s

Bag: Tory Burch Baby

P.S. Tomorrow holds a cute outfit that’s comfy too! (I’m super stressed and exhausted so much needed) Practice & then loads of HW for tomorrow evening.

My friends featured are Alexus Brock & Katelyn Clark & Billy Leach!

November 15, 2015

More like muggalcious, because of today’s weather. Yucky! I’m in favor for sunshine and chill or snow. LOL. Today’s look is a little something I threw together in 5 minutes before church this morning. I stayed up late last night finishing a mass load of AP homework so I slept in this morning & it caused me to be in a rush. I got this darling ’90s skirt from Goodwill last November & this sweater from my sister. I looked at the skirt…put it on then added the skinny belt and then it just came together as a cheetahlicious printed mix. Add my fav black pumps & baby Tory & perf! Now I’m headed to the Northpark Mall in Joplin, MO to do some walking! Inside & warm + I get to wear my super neon & cute athletic get up. This week I’m looking forward to cheer practice, NHS inductions (tomorrow, & I’m prez so bring on the stress), LOADS OF LAST MINUTE AP HW, my best friend being gone to Viva Las Vegas, & then release from school on Friday for THANKSGIVING BREAK! HALLELUJAH! WE GET AN ENTIRE WEEK! + My Sewanne application + My U of A application.

P.S. I’m currently in a Harry Potter Fix! I just finished the first two books & I’ve been wondering why I haven’t read them before this revolutionary moment! We are having a YULE BALL @ MCHS & I’m hosting it with NHS!

P.P.S. Music I’m jamming to this week includes Adele oldies, & of course HELLO (fav song right now…sorry Sam Hunt) & I’m counting down the days until she releases 25! Oh & I intend on buying Mariah Carey CHRISTMAS CD to jam to in my old blue car as soon as Thanksgiving passes!

P.P.S.S. I included some pictures from the walking trip to the mall.

Veterans Day Assembly!

November 11, 2015

I was in charge of our school assembly honoring veterans & with great humbleness I am delighted with how it turned out. Stress, yes but  I got through it with my friends by my side. 🙂 Our speaker for the assembly was Representative Davis of the 162 district! He did a tremendous job! You never truly realize how important honoring our veterans actually is until it dawns upon you that we are the land of the free because of the brave.

I included some shots of the assembly & my look. (I was overwhelmed today with tasks so my blog pictures are not the usual!) I would like to thank everyone that helped put it together & say I couldn’t have done it without them. I also want to encourage reaching out to a veteran today & everyday by saying thank you. GOD BLESS AMERICA. THANK YOU VETERANS.

Dress: JCREW

Dress Shirt: Banana Republic

P.S. Campus Visit to University of Arkansas (tshirt look) tomorrow & then Powderpuff Football. Friday is Mustang Madness!

“private school looks”

Private School Looks

Love. Amour.

Today I wore my Amour sweater from JCP, paired with my JCP taragan skirt. This skirt was $2 & has an memorable story that comes with it, I purchased this skirt with my singing group (broken octave) when we went to Columbia, Missouri for state. I then couldn’t figure out how to pronounce the material the skirt was made out of (tar-a-gan) & was pronouncing it wrong the entire trip. I then lost the skirt and found it sitting by a trash can out side of our hotel in the JCP bag, and happiness was restored to Broken Octave. All six of us girls piled up in one room and giggled all night long then went and sang the next morning! Such great memories. We hope to qualify to go to state again this year. ANWAYS HERE IS THE DETAILS TO MY LOOK.

Skirt: JCP $2

Sweater: JCP $6

Knee Highs: I can’t remember but try target!

Mary Janes. BABY DOLLS (shoes): Dillard’s

Sleek ponytails always work. 🙂 give it a whirl.

P.S. I carried my usual Tory Burch handbag today, but forgot to include it in today’s pictures. My condolences.

Pictures today were taken by my sister. Adrian ❤️

P.P.S. Veterans Day is on Wednesday and I’m stressing so send prayers!
